This year’s Student Research Award (SRA) drew a highly competitive pool of applications from graduate students leading innovative, high-quality research across Nova Scotia. Submissions aligned with BRIC NS research priorities underwent a rigorous peer review process, and following careful evaluation, the two highest-ranked projects were selected to receive this year’s prestigious award.
We are delighted to recognize these exceptional students and celebrate their contributions to advancing primary care research and improving health outcomes for Nova Scotians.

Project title: Co-Developing Evidence-Informed Practice Tools to Advance Transgender Health in Nova Scotia: Improving the Health Homes Team-Based Care Model Through Collaboration with Community Members and Health Practitioners
Jasmine Friedrich Yap
Program: MSc Rehabilitation Research, Dalhousie University
Project title: Strengthening Primary Care: Tailoring Fracture Prevention for Older Adults Receiving Home Care
