Invest in the future of health
By providing matching funding to BRIC NS, your organization has the opportunity to contribute to practical research projects that will improve the delivery and outcomes of healthcare and other services in the province.
BRIC NS projects are focused on improving services to people with, or at risk of developing, complex health care needs; those who, collectively, use about two-thirds of the healthcare resources in Nova Scotia. Improving service delivery to provide more proactive, preventive care to these people will make a major impact on their lives, while saving significant resources.
Providing matching funds to BRIC NS will enable our province’s research community to leverage federal monies through a high-priority, high-impact research and knowledge translation effort – the Canadian Institutes of Health Research’s Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research. As one of the Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovations Network’s across the country, BRIC NS is a key player in this strategic initiative. This “network of networks” is a pan-Canadian effort with the potential to save millions of healthcare dollars while improving the quality, equitabilty and outcomes of care for those citizens who need it most.
